- all personal data that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate. You must notify us of any changes to this personal data
Information collected automatically
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information does not directly reveal your specific identity (such as your name or contact details), but may include anonymised device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes, and is always anonymised.
The information we collect includes:
- Device data. We collect anonymised device data, such as information about your computer, phone, tablet or any other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, location, browser type, hardware model, internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, operating system and system configuration information.
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your personal data for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
- to protect the vital interests of an individual. We may process your information where necessary to protect the vital interests of an individual, for example to prevent harm;

The restaurant with which you place a reservation or click-and-collect request processes your personal data for the purpose of managing and following up your request and the responses to it, including communications sent to you by email or text message in connection with your reservation (acknowledgement of receipt of your request, confirmation of the reservation, etc.), where applicable in cooperation with Zenchef, which provides the restaurant with a tool for managing its reservations and orders. Furthermore, the restaurant generally collects and processes your personal data for the purpose of managing and following up its relationship with you, in particular for carrying out prospecting activities directed at you, through all media, in particular by telephone, email or text message
3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
The General Data Protection Regulation (AVG / GDPR) and the UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on to process your personal data. Accordingly, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:
- Consent: We may process your information if you have given us consent to do so for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Read more about withdrawing your consent.
- Legitimate interests: We may process your information when we consider it reasonably necessary to pursue our legitimate business interests and those interests do not outweigh your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, we may process your personal data for some of the purposes described below, including:
- To make a reservation for a table at Faucher we integrate Zenchef into our website. Zenchef is an online reservation system that allows customers to book tables at restaurants. By integrating Zenchef into our website, we store the customer's personal data, including name, email address and telephone number, when they make a reservation.
- Legal obligations: We may process your information when we consider it necessary to comply with our legal obligations, for example to cooperate with a law enforcement or supervisory authority, to exercise or defend our legal position, or to disclose your information as evidence in legal proceedings in which we are involved.
- Vital interests: We may process your information when we consider it necessary to protect your vital interests or those of a third party, for example in situations involving a potential threat to the safety of individuals.
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We may share your personal data in the following situations:
- Affiliates: We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we require those affiliates to respect this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us
5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In short: We keep the information you provide to us for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
We keep the personal data you provide to us only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements).
When we no longer have an ongoing, legitimate business need to process your personal data, we will delete or anonymise that data. If this is not possible (for example because your personal data has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
6. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In short: We aim to protect your personal data through a system of organisational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of the personal data we process. However, despite our measures and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the internet or data storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We therefore cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to circumvent our security and unlawfully collect, access, steal or modify your information.
Although we do our utmost to protect your personal data, the transmission of personal data to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services from within a secure environment.
7. DO WE COLLECT DATA FROM MINORS?
In short: We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 years of age and do not direct our marketing at them.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal data. By using the Services, you declare that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to that minor's use of the Services. If we learn that personal data has been collected from users under 18 years of age, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable steps to delete such data from our systems as quickly as possible. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under 18 years of age, please contact us at info@faucher.be.
8. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK) and Switzerland, you have rights that give you greater access to and control over your personal data. Depending on your country, province or state of residence, you may at any time request, have amended or have deleted the information we have collected about you.
In certain regions (such as the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you have certain rights under the applicable data protection legislation. These may include the right to: (i) request access to your personal data and receive a copy of it, (ii) request rectification or erasure, (iii) restrict the processing of your personal data, (iv) where applicable, obtain data portability, and (v) not be subject to automated decision-making. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. You can make such a request by contacting us using the contact details provided in the section ‘HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?’ below.
We will assess and handle every request in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation.
If you are located in the EEA or the UK and you believe that we are processing your personal data unlawfully, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your Member State or with the UK data protection authority.
If you are located in Switzerland, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Withdrawing your consent. If we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the contact details provided in the section ‘HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?’ below.
Please note, however, that this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before the withdrawal, nor the processing of your personal data that takes place on the basis of legal grounds other than consent.
Opting out of marketing and promotional communications. You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the emails we send you, or by contacting us using the details in the section ‘HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?’ below. You will then be removed from our marketing lists. However, we may still send you messages - for example to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests or for other non-marketing purposes.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you can email us at info@faucher.be.
9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting that you can activate to signal your privacy preference: you then do not want your online browsing activities to be tracked and collected. At present, no uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been established. We therefore do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.
If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that we must follow, we will inform you about it in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.
10. MAKING RESERVATIONS USING ZENCHEF
Faucher processes your personal data for the purpose of managing and following up your request and the responses to it, including communications sent to you by email or text message in connection with your reservation (acknowledgement of receipt of your request, confirmation of the reservation, etc.), possibly in cooperation with Zenchef, which provides the restaurant with a tool for managing its reservations and orders. Furthermore, the restaurant generally collects and processes your personal data for the purpose of managing and following up its relationship with you, in particular for carrying out prospecting activities directed at you, through all media, in particular by telephone, email or text message.
With regard to the processing operations mentioned above, you have, under the conditions laid down in the applicable provisions, the right of access to your data, rectification, erasure and portability of your data, as well as the right to obtain restriction of processing and the right to object to the processing of your data. It is specified that you have in any event the right to object to prospecting at any time, without having to give a reason or explanation, or, if the processing of your data is based on your consent, the right to withdraw that consent again. You also have the right to lay down instructions about what is to happen to your personal data and how you wish your rights to be exercised after your death.
Finally, you have the option of lodging a complaint with a competent supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your data does not comply with the applicable provisions.
For more information about the processing of your personal data by the restaurant as joint controller with Zenchef and to exercise your rights in relation to this processing, you can consult Zenchef's privacy policy. If you would like to know more about the processing of your personal data by the restaurant as sole controller and to exercise your rights in relation to this processing, you can contact the restaurant or consult its privacy policy online on its website, if available.
